Very funny, and a bit of a new angle
Lots of fun, though in my personal opinion this one is not among the funniest of the series. (Those would include Les Helvetes, Cleopatre, Les Goths, and Le Chaudron, to name a few.) Maybe it's just that the humor is less mordant but warmer; along with the expected jokes about the military (and the inevitable pirates), the humor takes an unusually romantic twist that sets it apart.
One of the best Adventures of Asterix and Obelix.
One of my all-time favorite Asterix adventures. It is hilarious! You will love it. Asterix and Obelix head for North Africa to rescue the village beauty's captured fiance-- courtesy of the Roman army.

I bought this book as a gift for a friend of mine who remembered it from 7th grade French class. She really like the book. The Asterix series is funny in any language.

Great way to learn and enjoy French
I read many of these when I was a student in junior high school back in the day, and now I purchased several of these to share with my kids who are learning French. The stories are a great way to learn the language and the some of the cultural traditions of the Francophone world. It is easy to follow along with the pictures, which are worth the price of the book all by themselves. I have a half dozen of these books, and I think it is time to order some more.

Comic muy divertido.
A mi me divierten muchisimo los de la primera epoca, con Gosciny y Uderzo. Luego perdieron mucho. Este en concreto me parece ingenioso, divertido y genial. Me parece importante leerlos en frances porque hay muchas cosas intraducibles.
A mi la legión
Es una gran lectura para cualquier fan de la serie y para aquellos que hablan francés. Es un libro que sin duda perdería algo en la traducción. Los personajes en Gran Bretaña hablan francés usando la sintaxis inglesa. Hay una serie de buenas risas que se encuentran en los idiomas Inglés traducido directamente al francés: ( "Je dis ceci est choquant" viene a la mente). También es bueno saber que Asterix y Obelix son capaces de ayudar siempre

Histoire et dessins réussis, mais un gros bémol quand même concernant les dialogues en écriture cursive, pas très lisible ni visible pour des jeunes enfants, qui aiment pourtant lire et bien comprendre de quoi il retourne ! Alors, URGENT, PASSEZ AU PLUS VITE à un écriture en lettres d'imprimerie, bien alignée et claire ! Nos enfants sont normaux ! Ne sont ni borgnes ni astigmates et ne louchent pas ! Alors arrêtez de présenter vos dialogues écrits en biais et en cursive ! Il y a des enfants intelligents pour la plupart qui souhaitent tout comprendre, pas seulement regarder les dessins ! À bon entendeur, vous les concepteurs, créateurs et éditeurs de BD pour enfants !
